I have learned hard lessons through my life that using severe cleansers will strip the skin of its natural oils, leaving the skin dry, irritated, and showing shapes of aging too quickly. My skin has transformed with the use of gentler cleansers with ceramides and glycerin to retain moisture and wipe out impurity without upsetting your skin barrier.

Healthy skin is also maintained by maintaining moisture. The skin uses moisturizer to keep recording daily doses of water and minerals. 

For a daily dose of water and nutrients for your skin, I generally use a lightweight moisturizer in the morning rather loaded with hyaluronic acid to keep my skin fresh and supple, while a heavy cream I use at night nourishes and hydrates the skin during repairs.

What is the 1 reason people have wrinkles at a young age? Well, if that sun exposure is very much harmful for your skin. Not applying sunscreen is like keeping your skin bare against those unwanted UV rays. 

I never step out without putting on a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen. It's this little habit that saves my skin from those horrible sun spots, those horrid fine lines, and that dull complexion. Not to mention, collagen breakdown also gets prevented by it, so skin stays firmer and supple.

The Role of Antioxidants in Your Diet 

The foods you eat directly impact your skin’s health. Antioxidant-rich foods combat free radicals, which are responsible for aging skin.  


My personal favorites include:

Here is a question: Are you drinking enough water? It sounds somewhat odd, but dehydration can leave your skin a dull kaleidoscope; when one has got no moisture in the body, even the most beautifully enhanced skin fades into dryness and lifelessness.   

Well, when I took the resolution to drink at least 8 glasses of water in a single day, it literally started making a big difference. My skin turned out just the plumper and smoother, and that natural glow everyone has been talking about?Finally it was mine.

So one must not feel guilty about indulging now and then, but finding enjoyment through excess can cause dehydrating, discoloring cases of dullness. Thus, putting anything into the body gets reflected onto the skin.

Allow me to say that beauty sleep is not a myth! During sleep, the body goes into repair mode and generates collagen and repairs skin cells. 

 I made my habit of sleeping 7-8 hours a night, and there felt a remarkable improvement in the puffiness and dark under-eye areas. Above all, my complexion became much more even and radiant.

'Like the majority, it was not a well-paved road for me getting youthful skin. My experimentation with the different products and regimen taught me that one has to be consistent and balanced. 

And this was when I exchanged my powerful cleansers for softer and hydrating cleansers. Sunscreen became my holy grail and paired with all those rich antioxidants and being really hydrated, my skin had that natural glow. Of course sleep and stress management are things to be in mind at one point.'
